Is PairTab free?
Yes. PairTab is free to download, and the running balance, private and shared expenses, every way of splitting and your first household are always free. PairTab Plus is an optional subscription for extras such as shared budgets and receipt scanning, and one subscription covers both of you.
Does my partner see my private expenses?
No. Your partner sees only the expenses you mark Shared. Expenses you mark Private are visible only to you and never count toward the shared balance.
Is PairTab on iPhone and Android?
Yes. PairTab is on the App Store for iPhone and on Google Play for Android. You and your partner can each use either one.
How does the balance work?
For every shared expense, PairTab compares what each of you paid with your share of it. The running balance shows who has put in more over time, and future shared spending brings you back toward even, so there is no need for tiny settlements.
Do we have to split everything 50/50?
No. You can split each shared expense 50/50, by percentage or by exact amounts. You can also choose the split that new shared expenses start with.
